In light of the nature of a prayer request for a person in Germany to be set free from occult bondage, I believe it is wise for us to bind the power of the evil strongman in Jesus' Name from interfering with God's will being done in our lives and the lives of those for whom we pray, and to release people into God's hands so He can deal with them. We have this authority, and I am convicted that we need to specifically use it in our prayers. The recognition and proper use of authority was the key to the centurion's faith in the following passage:

Luke 7:8 "For I, too, am a man under authority, with soldiers under me; and I say to this one, 'Go!' and he goes; and to another, 'Come!' and he comes; and to my slave, 'Do this!' and he does it." Luke 7:9 Now when Jesus heard this, He marveled at him, and turned and said to the multitude that was following Him, "I say to you, not even in Israel have I found such great faith."

Luke 10:19 "Behold, I have given you authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall injure you. Luke 10:20 "Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are recorded in heaven."

Acts 20:32 "And now I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified.

Lord Jesus, please give us all wisdom to properly use the wonderful authority which You have given to us as the Father has given it all to You!!
